Hello from Northwest WI

I learned fine furniture and cabinet making out in WA state about six years ago under a Japanese Master Temple Carpenter. Recently I have been fortunate enough to begin transitioning from the jobs that I must take, to put food on the table, and have slowly been getting some high end custom jobs. I have been searching for something like Cabinet Planner for a few years now but never had such luck. I certainly couldn't afford some of the other design solutions out there. I've used various CAD programs in the past as well as Google Sketchup but nothing is easier or more intuitive than Cabinet Planner. A few days ago I stumbled across a mention on a woodworking forum and thought what the heck? Well I downloaded and had played with (actually sat there for most of the night) and had designed one whole kitchen. It was that intuitive! I knew it was what I had been looking for at a fraction of the price of others. This truly is a golden find! Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. You will find CP to be an excellent program for cabinetmakers. I used one of the "high end" programs for years but decided I'd had enough of the pricey updates. As of yet, I have found very few things that CP will not do but I easily work around them. You will gain lots of knowledge by reading through all the posts on the forum. In addition, Rob is very prompt in answering emails. Enjoy yourself.
