In the program how are the counter tops tallied and are back splashes added?
It seems to be coming out low when the granite people follow up.

Backsplashes are not figured into the square footage.

Other than that it is pretty straight forward, a 24 x 24 top would come out at 4 sq feet.

The difference you are seeing may be in lineal feet. Normally tops are measured in lineal feet but with the program you usually do a butt joint in the corner so you loose around 2 lineal feet or 4 sq feet.

Rob,

I have a question about cab price.

It doesn't seem to add up.

I just started playing around with using CP to price cabinets.

It did not add up right so I did a test cab at 36" at a price of $100.00. It comes out to $339.34 should be $300.00

I have the mark up set to 0

What else could I be doing wrong?

What do you have for your standard cabinet height and what was the height of the test cabinet?

The prices are based on the standard height for each cabinet type.

Per particular "type" not a linear or cube pricing?
Are drawers figured in there on particular "types"?
Finishing is not ....

The prices are per your standard height and per lineal foot. If you create a cabinet that is 10% more than it's standard height it will price out as 10% more per lineal foot. (same with the standard depth)

Drawers should be figuered in with the prices you enter for cabinets with drawers.

Finishing can be added to your linel foot price if you would like, along with installation. Or, these can be added separately as an additional item.
