xx Round 2....still needing help
« Thread started on: Jun 13th, 2010, 6:12pm »

A month ago I had problems getting my door sizes correct. I read some of your postings and took advice. I know have one issue....my door height only on my uppers. What is the program expecting with my crown moulding or better phrased, how are they expecting me to mount it? I have a 39" upper cabinet with 3.75" crown mould and 3/4" overlay. I enter that into the General Settings and my upper doors are still off. I just want to get this program working for me so I do not have refigure these out in my head and can start relying on the program. Sheri

The door sizes are based only the opening size. It has no way of compensating if the molding interferes with the overlay.

Assuming you build frameless cabinets, can you put some sort of blocking on top of the cabinets for attaching the crown? If so you might be able to overlay the crown by only a 16th or so.

The only thing I can think of is if you are using the Special Overlay and the overlay you have for the middle rails is correcting for the doors on the bases.

This is just speculation though, knowing what overlay settings you are using and the exact sizes you're getting & need would help to narrow things down.
