I have had my last three customers question why I am collecting tax.
So is there a way to remove the tax line without removing the amount? I guess amount of detail is the question.

You could enter zero for the tax rate and then add your tax to the 'markup' box. You should come up with aprox the same price. The markup isn't applied to hardware.

It would be easier if you set the tax rate to zero and then added a misc. item for your delivery & installation.

No, but no amount will be given.

Umm, yes it will disappear on the propossals and contracts.
