Hi everyone,

We are a two man cabinet shop in Gurley, Alabama about 12 miles from Huntsville. We are a father and son team and we've been doing this full-time for 4 years. I've been a woodworker since 6th grade.

Although I worked in factories all my life, I did woodworking on the side at every opportunity. I've refinished antiques, built kitchen cabinets, and various pieces of furniture throughout the years. Never got rich but I was doing something I loved.

I guess doing what you love is what it's all about. I'm at a serious crossroads where my current job (teaching for 20 years) is no longer satisfying. It pays the bills but cabinets, woodworking, and the handyman business I operate are what I truly love.

Good for you that you're doing what you truly love. I'm trying to muster up the "cajones" to leave and do what I love. It's not easy!!

As I believe Vince Lombardi once said, "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life."
