xx names of materials
« Thread started on: Aug 3rd, 2013, 3:30pm »

OK Rob for the life of me i cannot get the program to change the names of the materials ,I've erased all the names and just put maple in the default box and no matter if i turn off the program and run it again the default name is always the same , it remembers the changes I've made to the other names but not the default ,,its remembering a name that i put there , and it when i erased the other names leaving only one the old name pops up like it has always been there, and the other names are gone so its just one name only now that i cannot change ,,I've even erased all of it and it comes back no matter what ,all i want the thing to say is MAPLE , thats it

Did you try creating a new cabinet after changing the material name?

For existing cabinets you will need to open each ones editing window and then press the 'more' button to change the material names.

yes sir i have tried that ,i have tried everything possible i do believe, its just a ghost that will not go away , I'm now printing prints that have a completely different material name that you put in the program , birch is the default somehow but only on part of the job , I'm over that now but i have now discovered after ripping up 25 door panels that they are all a 1/4" short both ways , why do you have to adjust the panel size in the standards , it knows to add the dem. into the rails why not the panel? i have more material but i caught it to late, again its me not using the program enough to be familiar with what needs altered ,but that is confusing me . seems like it would make the panel the same size as the rails on width and then the height is just -4 ,im sure there is a reason ,,, but i would have liked to have known ...yesterday huh huh

If you have only one material name in your standards and it is different from the material name used when a cabinet was created, the only way to change the material is to delete and recreate the cabinet.

For your doors you can use the panel size adjustments in the door standards window.
