You can set the "rabbet depth for sides" so it is the same as your drawer box material thickness to get the drawer parts correct. But, the dxf file will not show the dovetails.

Just wondering, Can you also setup your drawers to be cut 1/2 longer say if you were using 1/2 in sides and then just not dado the ends? Probably a dumb question, but it wouldn't be my first....

Oh yeh, I get it about setting the dado depth to equal the side depth, it causes the front & back parts to be made wider. but you do need to make the sides longer. so when the fronts & backs are dovetailed they will drawn back to the intended length, am I right?

The drawer box length (side length) is given as the cabinet depth minus the "deduct for depth" setting in the drawer settings window, so their length can be anything desired. After getting the the length needed you can then use the bottom length adjustment to get the bottom the correct size.
