xx Cabinet construction method
« Thread started on: Mar 2nd, 2012, 09:12am »

Rob, It seems I am unable to find the settings for the type of construction I like to use.
On Upper cabs like to dado in the sides and bottoms but run the back all the way over the top. So using a 1/4" back set in 3/4", the top should be 3/4 less than the sides. Also I would like to be able to recess the top down an inch from the top of the face frame, thus making the back an inch shorter. Can this be done with your program? Other than this issue, I absolutely love my cabinet planner!
This goes for bases also. It makes squaring boxes a piece of cake!

Thanks Rob,
If anyone is interested, here is what I had to do...
In General standards
I set the Back recess to -.75,
The back thickness to .25,
Back to frame dado, top -1.5, bottom -.75
Back height adjust -.375
The only thing that doesn't work yet is the blind end of an upper cab.
Thanks again Rob for the direction!
