3D Images not showing correctly
« Thread started on: Oct 21st, 2015, 2:14pm » |

Brand new to the software. Actually still playing with trial version. Have a couple questions. When I try to view a cabinet in 3d view I just get a big grey image regardless of zooming or changing any views. I also get a message that aero view has been disabled. (windows 7) Secondly when making a dxf file there's a note about toe kicks I don't understand. They are listed but I can't tell if they will actually be cut or drawn in the final dxf? Do they need to be somehow added manually when exporting dxf files? And for anyone reading this I'm curious if your cutting cabinets with a cnc are you cutting sheet goods with the cnc and doing the rest with a table saw etc. Such as the frames for the doors and face frames?

For the 3d, in the 3d setup window under the Standards menu, try switching between 'use program files' and 'use system files'
Do you know what the note says about the toe kicks? I don't remember there being anything special for them.

"One important note, be sure to enter a toekick depth in the Base Standards. This is the only place in the program that it is used."
That's what I've read listed in the help notes.

Ah OK, I thought it was showing that in the dxf file.

Figured out my issues. Does cabinet planner have the ability to allow for pre drilling when using a cnc for things such as hinges and slides?

Drawer slides yes, they are configured in the dxf settings window.

Just started using cabinet planner. 3D is only printing a black page. Tried following the tutorial help to disable Aero, however no luck.

What version of Windows?
You might trying to see if there is an updated driver for your video card. I believe that has helped other with this issue.
