Crown Molding
« Thread started on: Apr 24th, 2011, 6:01pm »
I'm using a lower base lazy susan cabinet in an upper corner. I've modified it to fit as per Rob's instructions. Now I'm stuck with adding the crown molding to wrap around this cabinet to match the others.
I know the upper cabinet choices offer this as a feature but how do you add it to a base being used in this manner?
I have found that you can add "Trim" to the cabinet and it shows in the elevation pictures of each wall but does not show up in the 3D view, don't know why. You have probably already found this out as well. I think it is a function of the Lazy Susan Corner Cabinet because you can can the trim to a std. base and it shows up in the 3D view. The only other thing I have found is the crown molding types in the Add Trim option don't match the crown molding type in the upper cabinet section.
Thanks Kent! You're right in that I found out about the trim options. I'd rather have it show up in the 3D renderings since that's what I show my clients. Otherwise it would be fine.
I'll have to see why the Custom Trim doesn't show for these in the 3D.
In the mean time you can use two Upper Fillers with their height set to zero to add either type of crown to the lazy susans when using them as an upper.
That's what i did for this image that I posted somewhere here a few years ago.
