Door Panel Size
Post by GaneshSahadeo on Jan 28th, 2013, 08:33am
I am doing a tall cabinet with a door with two panels and an arch top rail. However, the height of the panels are not computed correctly. In the door standard, the "rise of arch" is not figured in the computation for the panel height.

Had a quick check and it seems to be working on my system here so...
Check to be sure you have selected type 22 or 24 doors (raised or flat panel)
If so, let me know which exact cabinet, door type and any door standards you are using.

I am using tall 1 opening. My cutter depth is 13/32". My computation in excel works out to 38" length per panel.
CP works it to be 37". I am using Door type 22.
Panel
Stile Length 81 3/4
Bot. Rail Width -2 1/2
Mid. Rail Width -2 1/2
Top. Rail Width -4
Arch Rise 1 3/4
Cutter Depth (by 2) 13/16
Cutter Depth (by 2) 13/16
Adj - 1/16
Adj - 1/16
Total 76
Divide by 2 = 38

Ok, I found one problem with the shop plan panel sizes when using the special overlay. I will have to look closer this afternoon and make sure everything is correct.

Ok, I have a new update to fix this.
In your case, it will give 37 3/4" because it automatically deducts 1/4" from the panel sizes. You can add the 1/4" back if needed with the panel size adjustments.
