Separate Toe Kick Question
« Thread started on: Jan 5th, 2014, 10:44am »
A very similar question has been asked, but I am not able to completely decipher the correct way to go about doing this: I intend to build a separate toe kick for my frameless cabinets. I have entered a separate toe kick height of 3.5". I have zeroed the normal toe kick height. Do I need to change the toe kick cut out to 0 as well, or does this even matter once the toe kick height is set to 0?

Just to clarify.. If my base cabinet total height is 34.5", my toekick is 4", then do I set my cab height to 30.5" with it also being 4" off the floor?

Yes, if you are doing frameless cabinets.
If you are doing face framed cabinets you may need to consider if the cabinet side or bottom will be resting on the toe kick. If the side will be sitting on the toe kick your sizes are fine otherwise you will need to add the bottom rail overhang to the toe kick height.
