angled corner cabinet
« Thread started on: Feb 3rd, 2010, 05:05am » |

I've tried a few times to insert an angled corner cabinet, any help appreciated. Also, is there a setting to snap the next cabinet to the last one generated? As you can tell I'm new to this program.

Which settings are you having problems with on the angled corner cabinets? Maybe this photo will help.
If you plan you're cabinets with the "Location assist" enabled and the "Click & Drag" disabled, the program will automatically fill in the location so the next cabinet is placed to the right of the previous cabinet. These settings are both in the General Standards.
I prefer to plan a job using the Click & Drag with the elevation view open so I can see instantly if the cabinets are where I need them.

That is an angled upper correct?
Can a base be done to say make a clipped corner for an island and how about a counter to follow the angled base?

I got the angled upper to work. I was using angled instead of corner. Thanks.

No, the angled cabinets are like below. The photo above would be for the Upper Corner or Base Corner.
There is an angled counter to be used over the angled bases. I'll put together a photo for them later.

I selected the "Angled Countertop" and entered the sizes according to the photo above.

Ok so I got a top to go on but cant get the angled corner in the right spot. Do I have to draw the cabinets backwards?(Rotate)
It would be the left one from your image but flipped up

Not sure what you mean by flipped up. Could you post a photo or maybe send me the job file so i can see what you have?
To send me a job file: 1) Open the program and press the ‘Open job’ button 2) In the file dialog, right click on the job and select Send to>mail recipient This will start an email with the file included as an attachment, send it to me.

Looking at one wall 48" long we have an 18"-16"and 14" deep wine storage on the end. That would make a need for a door/panel @14" to make the 48" run. I have the wall set at zero for depth and 34.5 for height. Now standing in front of that cabinet the wine storage to the right @ 14" deep is 24" wide because it faces to the right and lines up with the 18" and 16". Now the top needs to be 36" making a 12" over hang, but angled at 45 degrees from the right of the wine storage to the back side of the over hang.

Ah ok, you will need to create one more wall opposite of wall 2, facing the other way and then put the angled counter on it.
BTW, you can set the wall heights in this situation to zero.

and that will fix this if set to zero? How do I add a partial toe kick? See where there is not a door on the side of the cabinet id it possible to add one? Then the walls and opposite end of the wine rack need bead board. I dont think its available, but a panel would work for now ... yes?
