Cabinet Planner Program -- Printing Labels
« Thread started on: Feb 26th, 2010, 11:47am » |

Rob -- I have a question about the " LABEL SECTION " of the program...... I am trying to print labels that would identfy each cabinet for a particular job. Example = Cabinet #1 Base - 36" wide X 341/2" high X 24" deep -or- Cabinet #2 3 Drawer Base 18" wide X 34 1/2" high X 24" deep -or- Cabinet #27 - 2Door Wall Cabinet - 42" wide X 30" high X 12" Deep. etc. etc. etc. You could put these labels on the back of the cabinets as an identification for when they are installed. Am I having a "Brain-Fart" and missing something in the Cabinet Planner program... or is this function not possible. Looking foward to your reply ----- Charlie / CG Cabinets & Woodshop Deland Florida

The label printing is only set up for printing individual parts. I will look into adding labels for the cabinets themselves, it shouldn't be too hard.

Rob, as long as the subject is labels, I printed out labels for a job I'm working on and used the 80 count labels and it looks like some info for machining dado's have been added which are being printed into the next label. Did I miss something and are the 80 count labels now out of use?

Rob, I am trying to print 80 count labels using Avery 8167 like the program calls for but the scale of the labels is not right. The first couple of rows are good but as they continue down by mid-page they are off the labels by 1/2 way then continue off from there. Columns are ok but the rows seem to far apart. Any suggestions?

Which operating system are you running? Maybe MS changed something with Windows 7 if thats what you have.
The 80 label printing uses Arial 7 for the font. Try opening a Notepad document and then change the font to Arial 7 to see if it is available on your computer. You will need to type in the "7" since the smallest available in the font dialog is 8.

I'm using Vista which I think 7 is based on. Wordpad will let me change the font size to 7 but how can I in CP?

Do you use the same printer on both computers?

No, when I switched to Vista on my desktop I bought new multi function because my old one didn't have Vista support. Kept the old one to use w/ laptop.
