Is it very difficult to add a new door type. A flat panel door with divided glass on top 1/4?

Ideally I would like to add a custom door editor so the user could create whatever doors they need. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to incorporate something like that into the program.

Also I am updating computer to windows 8 does the program work ok with it??
