glass on the side of an upper
Post by ruthless1 on Apr 25th, 2011, 08:08am

hi Rob
real quick is there a way to put a piece of glass on the side of an upper cabinet, my customer wants a pane of seeded glass on the side of these uppers that are by a window in his kitchen. The uppers have style 17 doors with seeded glass in them as well. Its purely visual so if not no problem , it can be a style 17 door for all I care

If you are just looking to create a drawing for the customer you can setup a fake wall to place a face frame on the side of a cabinet. Both the left and front cabinets here have their depth set to 3/4 so only the face frame is drawn. Then I used 4 shelves, two for the top and bottom.

One caveat to keep in mind when doing this is that the cabinets with the glass doors need to be created numerically last so the shelves show through the glass. (has to do with the way OpenGL renders transparencies)
