Back Panel
« Thread started on: Jan 31st, 2012, 07:03am »
I seem to be having a problem with my back panels and shelves. If I use 3/4" material for my back panels and recess it 1/4" into the cabinet the numbers don't seem to add up. My shelves are 3/4" less than what they should be and to make this right I have to cut another 3/4" off the depth of the top and bottom panels. If I leave the top and bottom panels the width shown on my plans and move the back panel in flush with the back of the top and bottom panels the shelf measurements work but I then have to cut 1 1/2" off the length of the back panel (width of the top and bottom panels).
I hope I explained that so it could be understood.
