Stretchers

When I look at the parts for a cabinet, a stretcher shows up. When I hit "calc" then the "OK" box beside Box material and master list, the stretchers never show up in the cutlist.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Should also mention that they dont show up on the panel layout either.

Who in the world would make a stretcher out of solid wood.
If you build frameless, it is done out of your sheet goods then edgebanded.
If you build faceframe, you have a faceframe covering them so why would you make it out of solid.
I dont know what a screw strip is so I wont add a smartass comment about them.......unless a screw strip is the same thing as a nailer, then again that would be stupid to make them out of solid.

Your right, I guess "stupid" was a little harsh and for that I apologize as my intention was not to insult anyone.
I was just looking for a little clarification. I cant see any reason why anyone would use solid wood for a stretcher or screw strip (if indeed a screw strip is the same thing as a nailer).
In all my years building cabinets and all of the ones I have ever seen, I have never used or seen anyone use solid wood for either of these parts...except on maybe a piece of furniture but this is cabinet planner, not furniture planner.
For that I am under the assumption that the vast majority of people building cabinets would use sheet goods to make these parts and therefore the software should accommodate the vast majority. And when I say vast, Im guessing 99%. Its a real pain in the rear to have to add these parts in manually. Instead of making everyone using the software have to do this. Make the minority (those who would use solid wood), delete them from the cutlist.
I may be completely ignorant to this construction technique, hence my using the word stupid. Can you enlighten me on why someone would want to use solid wood for these parts?

Apology accepted.
I'm not sure why others use solid for their stretchers but at the last shop I worked at they used them there. Mostly because we built a lot of cabinets that were over 8 feet long and they wanted to keep the materials uniform throughout their line of cabinets.
I’ll be the first to admit that there is a lot that needs to be changed in the program but it all takes time. At this particular time, being able to change the material type for stretchers is a low priority. And, once the custom cabinet editor is added, this will be a mute point since it will let you select any material type or thickness for every part.
Yes, screw strips are the same as nailers but since no one uses nails for hanging cabinets anymore, screw strip seems a more appropriate term for the times.

Like I said,
Can you not just add them in to the cutlist and make those that use solid wood (and I would think that number of people is extremely low) just delete them from the list. You currently are not accommodating either group (solid wood or sheet goods), at least accommodate the majority and save the majority the headache. The solid wood group has to manually add them as it is, its just as easy for them to manually delete them.

Yes I can but it will be at least a month before I will be able to. I am currently working on the new overlay option and it's much more involved than anticipated.

Done.
In the Upper and Lower Standards there is a selection box to choose which material to use for the stretchers and screw strips. the screw strip type you select for the uppers is also applied to the tall cabinets.
If you select "Sheet goods" they will be given as the default material type.
