Mark Up
« Thread started on: Aug 13th, 2011, 12:31pm »
Getting markup to work on misc items and pull outs? I have put a cost in for pull outs and misc items as well as an amount/quantity, but the mark up isn't changing. I have no walls or cabinets.

The markup was added with the intention of using it for switching between wood/finish types. For instances you would enter the prices for the cheapest wood/finish you do, like plain pine. Then if you get an oak or cherry job you would enter a markup of 15 to 25%. It only increases the price of the cabinets, not the hardware.
Do you charge more for pullouts in an oak job than you do in a pine job? Or are they always the same based on their size?
For the misc items, generally you add them indivually for each job along with their price so I never thought they would need to have the markup added to them.

Thats how I do it, but this job has no cabinets so I was putting in cost and was then going to mark it up. I will mark it up as I put the cost in. Thanks
