Curious..
What inside depth for uppers are most using. 10.5 to 12
Screw strip inside box or on 1/4" back
I cut my sides 11 7/8 with screw strip in back so a 11 3/4" plate will fit.

At present I am cutting sides 11" to get to a 12" total box depth. I usually have at least one deeper depth cabinet to allow for deeper dishes. I have been thinking about cutting my sides at 12" though, it would be easier math! My screw strip is on the inside at the top.

Depends if I am building face frame or euro style cabinets. But I always concerned with 4' x 8' plywood to be able to get the most out of a sheet. That's were the optimizer is great.

In most cases 14 1/8" with the strip on the out side making a clean interior deep box

My uppers finish out at 14" deep as my standard. I use a full 3/4" thick back panel to eliminate the need for screw reinforcements. Just predrill, hang and cover the screws with a color matched dot.

I use 1/2" backs no screw strips, with sides dado'd into the FF 1/4". Cabinet depth depends on what the customer wants.
