Printing labels
Post by Beaver1 on Feb 23rd, 2012, 12:00pm

I see a "top margin adjustment" when I go to print labels, is there a "side margin adjustment" somewhere? I can get most of them to print on a label as far as the height is concerned with the top margin adjustment but they need moved to the right in order for the first column to fit on the label. These are with the 8167 labels. I don’t know if this matters, but I can’t print from cabinet planner itself, I have to print to a pdf and then print that pdf. Would that make a difference with the labels? I’ve tried to print the pdf, scan and save as a word doc and try to get that to work in word, but that just gave me a headache. I’m open to suggestions, I’d really like to be able to print them.
Thanks, Rich

Open Windows explorer and go to C:/Windows/Fonts. See if you have a font file named "Arial". If so double click it and see if you have "Arial Regular".

Yep. I've got "arial regular" .......... what do I do with it?

I just thought it might be missing. The program uses arial 7 for the 80 label printing. If the font is missing then Windows will attempt to substitute the next closest font. I thought maybe that was the problem but I guess it isn't.

It would seem then that your printer must be changing the scale of the document.

I've tried both pdf995 and primopdf and both print them the same way. I can't be the only one who has to print to a pdf to print anything in cabinet planner. Maybe someone out there knows of a pdf program that will print it correctly?

Why do you have to print to a pdf?

It won't print on my hp all in one and that's the only printer I have besides old hp 430. If I try to use it I get a message that "cabinet planner has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown" The only way I've ever been able to print anything is to print it to a pdf first. It works but gets tedious sometimes.
