Post by Pete on Apr 2nd, 2012, 7:49pm

I have been playing a bit with Kerkythea and would like and help I can get.
How do you get floors, walls ceiling images etc. Is there a link for some downloads and tutorials?
I have downloaded a small floor zip from kerky, but cant figure where to save so I can choose for example.
Thanks

The page I setup on the website http://www.cabinetplanner.com/advanced_renderings.html has an explanation for adding a bitmap image to the floors.

"You can add a texture to the floor in the same manner as the wood. With a floor it is often nice to add a
“bump map”. This will help to highlight the edges or make the surface look textured. In the Material
Editor window right click on Texture in the Bump Mapping groupbox and select add bitmap. Select the
same bitmap you used for the floor and then press the Apply Changes button. You can also do this with
the wood in the job but it usually makes it look too rough."

Hey Rob,

Do you know if there is any way to do two different color cabinets on the same job?

Like do the cabinets one color and a island another?

Also window and door trim different than cabs.

My first thought was no, but with kerky you can merge two (or more) files together. So, yes you can.

I used the "save as" function to save the first job with a different name, deleted the first two cabinet and then created a window and a base. In, kerky I had to delete the wall without the window so it didn't show in the window.

OK I think I know what you are saying, I'll give it a try.

WOW

That works great, you can make every cabinet a different color.

Thanks a lot.

It's nice to be able to have the door and window trim a different color than the cabinets.

These renderings are a merge of three.
