drawer front sizing
Post by wcurlin on Jul 7th, 2016, 08:26am
I used the base cabinet option and put in a 40" wide base, selected 2 drawers and 2 doors. On the plan view, the drawer fronts came out the correct size. However, when I used the calc button to generate a list of drawer front sizes, they came out 7/8 too long.

Thanks, I should be able to get this fixed fairly quickly.
Looks like it is only happening with the standard overlay. Given that, you can switch to the special overlay and enter your normal overlay in each of the settings and it will work for now.

It seems we're dealing with the same issue: 3 drawer base, custom overlays, the middle opening is 11" and the front size is calculated to 11", too. I've just downloaded the software few days ago, checked for updates: I do have the latest version. Is the fix not in yet or could the bug be bigger than originally thought ?
On the other hand, it could be some settings that we got wrong (we're only playing with the software for now, trying different things, etc.) so it might be something that we did wrong. But finding this thread was too much of a coincidence.
I could get back to you with all the details, in case this seems to be a bug...
P.S. Just to confirm, are the (custom) overlay values under the Door Settings the same ones that are used for drawers, too ?

The above issue was with the Standard Overlay.
Open the Door Standards window, set the Special Overlay settings as needed and then press the "Save and apply to current job" button. I tried it just now and it seems to be working fine. But, if you don't apply it to the current job the setting will only be applied to any cabinets created after changing the overlay.
Yes, the door overlay is also used for the drawer fronts.
