Only Doors and Drawer Fronts
Post by davejber on Apr 26th, 2012, 6:21pm
Rob,
I'm bidding on a job to replace the doors and drawer fronts on existing boxes. I read in a previous thread, that setting the depth to -1 removes the box components and I set the faceframe dimension to zero. I calculated the price and got the following:
Cabinets saved for; litwin doors
1 31.00w x 34.50h x -1.00d 1 Drawer 2 Door Openings
2 16.25w x 34.50h x -1.00d Base
3 14.50w x 34.50h x -1.00d Base
4 33.00w x 34.50h x -1.00d 1 Drawer 2 Door Openings
5 35.00w x 34.50h x -1.00d Base
6 11.50w x 34.50h x -1.00d Base
7 25.00w x 34.50h x -1.00d Base
Unit # 1 - 31.00" 1 Drawer 2 Door Openings -142.08
Unit # 2 - 16.25" Base -119.17
Unit # 3 - 14.50" Base -106.33
Unit # 4 - 33.00" 1 Drawer 2 Door Openings -151.25
Unit # 5 - 35.00" Base -256.67
Unit # 6 - 11.50" Base -84.33
Unit # 7 - 25.00" Base -183.33
20 Hinges 75.00
18 Knobs 112.50
8 Sets of drawer slides 128.00
--------
Total price -727.67
How shall I interpert the negative values?

Not sure, setting the depths to zero will eliminate the face frame and box parts. It will also then give a price of 0, except for the hardware.
You would be better of using the "Individual doors" under the "Raised Panel" menu for bidding a job with just doors & drawer fronts. (you can use the slab door for a drawer front)
