xx Length of wall disappears after 99
« Thread started on: Mar 22nd, 2010, 1:17pm »

Rob,

I just started laying out walls for a new project and the "Length" of wall field goes blank after 99, it happens on both the "x" axis as well as the "y" axis. I haven't noticed this before but don't know if it is related to the new updated that the program installed today.

Thanks,

Kent

That's strange. You're referring to the sizes given in the textboxes in the Wall Setup window, right?

Yes, the text boxes in the wall setup.

I'm at a loss to explain why this could happen. Is anyone else experiencing this?

There havn't been any changes to the wall setup section of the program for at least a year or so.

Are you able to type in a number over 99?

Yes, I can type in a number greater than 99 and the wall will adjust accordingly but as soon as I hit update the number disappears again.

I don't know if it has to do with the screen resolution I have on this new notebook, it is set at 1680 x 1050 and some of the pop-up boxes like the update box and checking connection the test and stuff are off center and some of the text is outside the box.

Rob,

Nix the screen resolution idea, I just changed the resolution to 1280x800 and 1280 x 1024 and still the number disappears when it gets greater than 99.

It turns out this was a problem of having the system's DPI set to 120 and having too much text to display in the box. There were leading spaces added to the length while rounding the wall length to only two decimals.

Rob,

Thanks for a speedy fix! My eyes especially thank you as the screen is much more readable at 120dpi. Thanks again!
