Cabinet Bottom Panel - charliepickles - 05-07-2026 Hi I have a base cabinet that is 24" wide and 18" deep using 3/4 plywood which is being assembled with pocket hole screws. When calculate the panel cutlist the bottom panel is 23 1/4 x 17 1/2. The depth of the panel is correct at 17 1/2 but the width should be 22. I set any dado setting to 0 but I must be missing another setting somewhere. I typically build my face frame 24" wide which extends 1/4 beyond the cabinet on both sides. So the interior dimension of the bottom panel would be 22x17 1/4, but the dimension I see in my cutlist is 23 1/4 x 17 1/4. Am I missing a setting or should I be doing something differently? Thanks RE: Cabinet Bottom Panel - admin - 05-07-2026 "I typically build my face frame 24" wide which extends 1/4 beyond the cabinet on both sides." Use the scribe settings to get the face frame to extend beyond the side of the box. This shortens the box width by the total entered for the left & right. If you always do this you can set the scribe defaults in the general standards. If the dado depth was not set to zero in the standards when you created the cabinet, the cabinet still carries the non zero value. open the editing window for the cabinet and press the MORE button. you can change that cabinet's dado depth there.
