hello all. new to the forum. I'm a plumber so go easy.
I'm building kitchen cabinets for my house. I decided to build a stand-alone 4" toe kick platform, level it, and set my cabinets on it. i built all of my base cabinets 24"deep and 30 1/2" tall, these are frameless cabinets, so far so good.

for example, a 24" wide single opening base cabinet using door type 14 and a slab style drawer front with a 5" upper drawer opening, the stretcher, drawer support, and bottom are 3/4" (0.705") birch ply and i want full overlay.

the program is telling me to make the drawer front 6 7/16 tall. this will fully overlay the front stretcher and the drawer support. it tells me to build my doors 24 13/16 tall. not accounting for any space between the bottom of the drawer front and the top of the door this totals 31 1/4". this leaves 3/4" hanging below the bottom of the 30 1/2" cabinet. i am installing toe kick drawers and need to adjust the program to make the door bottom flush with the bottom of the cabinet so the toe kick drawer front will clear, if possible. not the end of the world if i have to do the math at the saw, but 14 doors, i would rather use the program to do it.
thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I’m adjusting my Shaker drawer fronts and I’m trying to change the recessed panel thickness from 0.75" to 0.25".
I’ve checked the following areas already:
• Drawer Standards
• Door Standards
• General Standards
• Drawer Box Settings
I expected to find a “Panel Options” or “Panel Thickness” setting somewhere in the Door Standards window, but I’m not seeing anything related to recessed/Shaker panel thickness.
Could someone point me to the correct location for adjusting the Shaker drawer‑front panel thickness?
Thanks in advance — just want to make sure I’m not overlooking something simple.

Hello,

I'm working on a simple cabinet: two sides, top & bottom, back, and some shelves. All the parts look correct except for the rabbets on the two sides for the back. No matter what I do they're 1/4" wide. The backs are 1/2" material. Shouldn't the rabbets be the same width as the thickness of the material for the back? Perhaps I missed a setting somewhere, but I've looked through all that I've been able to find, and nothing I've tried changes that 1/4" width.
Never mind, I found it. It was in the Standards->DXF Settings.

I'm a 60 year old Christian, husband, father, grandfather, US Navy vet. I've done many things in my life, so I thought I would try something simple for a change, like building cabinets for my wife. I figured if Norm Abram could do it so could I. LOL!! I like to have fun doing whatever task I am working on at the time. I think building cabinets for one kitchen, and one kitchen only, should be both challenging and fun.
I have a few questions, and hope that all you folks that know what you're doing can help an old fella out. LOL

Good Morning,

Need help, I have tried everything, but I cannot seem to get my material list to reflect the bottoms of my pullouts. When I do CALC and check off the drawer master list it gives me all my parts, but it will not sum up how many sheets of bottom material I need, nor will it reflect it in my panel optimizer. I use Baltic Birch 1/2 inch for sides back and front and my bottoms are 1/4 Baltic Birch the panel optimizer will cut out the bottoms on the 1/2 inch with no picture for the 1/4 inch sheet. What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,

Just curious if there was a way to add more textures (BMP file) to the program to allow for more colors when looking at the 3D model of the cabinets? I was trying to add an "Aged Oak" stain color from Old Masters and created a 256x256 BMP image and tried inserting it into the 3D Textures folder of the program and didn't have any luck. Is this an option?
