Help setting up printing
#1
Photo
Hi, I am trying to set up my printing and having some trouble.
I am building cabinets with face frames and a farmhouse design on a slab/inset door.
When I go to the Calc Window, it gives me the options of Material and Master List or Material and Panel Layout.
If I choose Layout, it only shows two pieces of the Poplar stock per page.  These stock pieces are only 5" wide by 60" long.
I end up with 8 pages of layout cuts with only 20% of the page being used for printing.
How can I add more pieces to the Layout so I am not wasting so much printer paper?
Thank you,
MD

The Panel Optimizer isn't really meant for face frame parts.

With the elevation view closed, select a cabinet to open its editing window and then press the OK button. The shop plan review window will open. You can print it from there. Or, click the Shop Plan Print button on the toolbar and it will print all the shop plans for the job.

Ok, thanks for that.
I have another question. :-)
I added several parts to the Faceframe material and master list, but they did not save. I can't add them to the list for helping to figure out what additional Linear feet I need to order.
Thank you,
MD

Anything you add to the optimizer is just temporary. For something permanent you could add them as valances. Same thing, different name.
