  rail & stile
Posted by: mattadams - 04-16-2022, 09:30 PM - Forum: Cabinet Planner - Replies (2)

I assume that the generated cut list for rails and stiles are assembled lengths and not rough length prior to cope and stick cutting? correct?
I also assume all dimension from cut list do not incorporate added length for into dattos/rabbets etc..correct?

love the software great job great price.

  General standards per job file?
Posted by: JSC - 01-04-2022, 09:39 PM - Forum: Cabinet Planner - Replies (1)

My impression, and I could easily be wrong, is that the general standards config, is limited to a few configurations that are applied to all job files. You can not set a general standards config that is encapsulated in a specific job file and always applied to that job only.  This may not be a limitation on the scale of my first impression, but it would be nice to have that embedded, and not changing, when opening and editing specific jobs. Can someone summarize the overall impact of general standards on all job files?  Yes I'm a newbie, but in test editing several job files, I noticed things changing based on action of other jobs. Diligence required...

  Door prices
Posted by: MartinS - 05-02-2021, 04:14 PM - Forum: Cabinet Planner - No Replies

Hi, I'm playing with the pricing menu.  From what i read, all prices are per lineal foot.  Not being a professional cabinet maker (making lots of cupboards for locals lately though), I have two questions :

1. How do I include the door pricing?  Is it included in the pricing menu when I price, for example, a 1 opening upper?

2. This one is tricky.  What's the typical price per cabinet?  And markup?

Thank you.

  Copy Files
Posted by: DavB - 01-26-2021, 04:37 PM - Forum: Cabinet Planner - Replies (2)

Is there a way to copy a file, so as to make changes to it without losing the original?  Often I get a design created, then want to give my customers options that are slightly different from the original.  Plus I'd like to make my own backups.
Thanks,
DB
